At Bluebird, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. This remains our goal as we all navigate our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. We are doing everything we can to make sure our clients and caregivers are informed with up-to-date and accurate information regarding infection control and prevention.  Every staff member is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please know that the safety, health, and well-being of our clients and team is our primary concern.

Social Distancing & Cleaning

o   Established guidelines for orientations/meetings (maintain 6-feet of distance) and common areas or separate offices with more than 1 person

o   Established guidelines for cleaning equipment and workspaces – sanitizing surfaces after meetings to include tables, chairs, tablets, computers,  and bags.

o   Office staff members disinfect each office every morning, paying special attention to high-touch areas like copiers, door handles, file cabinets, personal workspaces, desks and light switches

o   Appropriate PPE will be worn during patient visits and employee to employee contact as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.

o   All staff will abide by the COVID-19 policies set forth by the organizations we serve if additional PPE is required beyond the recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities.

Health Screening & Tracking

o   Signs for office doors – visitors by appointment only to limit foot traffic. All deliveries and pickups will be handled by calling the office number so that an internal staff member can deliver or pickup the item at the door. All visitors will undergo a temperature check and COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to entering  the office.

o   Anyone with a possible exposure has been tracked and monitored following health officials' recommendations for quarantine when applicable.

o   The Austin office has a tracking system to document positive cases, possible exposures, and quarantines, as well as documentation of all correspondence with local health officials.

o   COVID-19 screenings will be required of each employee prior to beginning their shift.  Any employees demonstrating signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or other communicable diseases will be asked to quarantine until they can report to a physician for testing, treatment, and quarantine recommendations.

o   All internal office staff members, including RN Clinical Supervisors, are screened using the COVID-19 questionnaire each day before reporting to work. Additionally, each office staff member submits to a temperature check prior to beginning work.
